Scientific Advisory Board Alexander Klibanov, Ph.D., Founder and Director Dr. Klibanov is a Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and a Member of the Biotechnology Process Engineering Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His research interests range from the biochemistry of non-aqueous media to stability and stabilization of pharmaceutical proteins. Dr. Klibanov is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering and a Founding Fellow on the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. Dr. Klibanov received his MS in Chemistry and his Ph.D. in Chemical Enzymology from Moscow University. Robert S. Langer, Ph.D. Dr. Langer, is the Kenneth J. Germeshausen Professor of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering at MIT. Dr. Langer provides eNOS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. advice on strategic direction that can accelerate the development process. His experience in this regard has lead to a remarkable number of medical technologies that are either currently on the market or in clinical trials. Dr. Langer received a B.S. in chemical engineering from Cornell University and a Sc.D. in chemical engineering from M.I.T. Dr. Langer has been a member of the Food and Drug Administration's Science Board, its highest advisory board, since 1995. He has been honored with more than 70 major awards, including the Lemelson-MIT Award, the world's highest prize for inventions. He is the only engineer to ever receive the Gardner Foundation International Award, numerous previous recipients subsequently are awarded a Nobel Prize. Dr. Langer was elected to the National Academy of Science's Institute of Medicine in 1989 and to both the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering in 1992. Currently, he is the only active member of all three National Academies. Michael Moskowitz, M.D. Dr. Moskowitz, one of eNOS Pharmaceuticals' innovators, is Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and Principal Investigator of the MGH Interdepartmental Stroke Research Program sponsored by NIH. He is a member of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at MGH where he has been since 1981 following 7 years at MIT. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University and Tufts Medical School, received specialty training in Internal Medicine at Yale and in Neurology at Brigham & Women's Hospital. Dr. Moskowitz has been an Established Investigator of the American Heart Association. He received the Zulch Prize from the Max-Planck Institute (1996) and the Bristol-Myers award for unrestricted research in Neurosciences (1994-1998). He is currently the Basic Science Editor for the American Heart Association journal called Stroke. He is the author of over 300 scientific publications. |
